The Human Resources Manager designs, plans and implements HR programs and policies at LifeScience Logistics located in Dallas, Texas.  The HR Manager leads orientation, staffing initiatives, and provides support to internal customers.  This role must exhibit strong leadership and relationship building skills along with excellent communication skills.


  • • Develop, revise, implement, and evaluate human resource policies and procedures to ensure that the organization is in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • • Audit human resource activities to ensure continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed
  • • Assist with developing, coordinating and recommending changes for the improvement of workflow in the department
  • • Analyze and investigate a broad range of employee relations issues and allegations including policy violation, misconduct, complaints, unemployment claims, separations, performance, conflict resolution, mediation, and harassment
  • • Effectively utilize the HRIS data to analyze and report data such as staffing levels and turnover
  • • Develop and maintain affirmative action programs; files EEO-1 annually, maintains other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations
  • • Conduct organizational assessments to measure the pulse of the organization
  • • Update job requirements and job descriptions for all positions
  • • Participate in new employee orientation to communicate company culture
  • • Initiate communication and ensure employees have knowledge of policies, updates and general information
  • • Assist with safety efforts and is a member of the safety committee
  • • Handle all leaves of absences including FMLA and military leave
  • • Conduct exit interviews, perform analysis on feedback and report findings and recommendations to HR leadership
  • • Assist with the development, analysis, and coordination of employee relations initiatives that encourage employee retention, job satisfaction, and positive morale
  • • Conduct needs assessments to determine measures required to enhance employee job performance and overall company performance
  • • Present training sessions on HR issues and other topics related to assigned program or section area
  • • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.


  • • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or equivalent combination of education and five (5) years of experience.
  • • Must possess a working knowledge of human resources principles, practices, trends, and applicable laws or have the ability and willingness to learn
  • • Knowledge MS Office Suite specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • • Must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • • Exhibit exceptional interpersonal relationships with employees, peers, and customers.
  • • PHR preferred, but not required. • Professional dress is required


  • • Deftly navigate through Quality and Employee Management Systems with training – ADP, MQ1
  • • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
  • • Knowledge of state and federal laws and the ability to interpret and apply rules and regulations
  • • Quantitative analyses required to assess past and future staffing (for example, cost benefit analysis, costs per hire, selection ratios, adverse impact)
  • • Intermediate public speaking and presentation skills
  • • Understanding of people sourcing and best hiring/interviewing processes is a plus
  • • Ability to maintain and track budget/spending trends
  • • Experience utilizing web-based telecommunication software
  • • Must be able to successfully pass all preliminary employment requirements (i.e., background check and drug screen)• Must have a valid driver’s license
